We’re a not-for-profit and charge £60+VAT per hour (or an agreed a fixed-fee) for specialist legal advice, building your case and preparing your application to the CCRC.

Initial Review and legal advice
No matter how complex your case is, we will carry out a comprehensive review and provide you with a document which sets out the legal and factual issues that need to be dealt with. We will give you detailed legal advice on potential grounds of appeal and arguments that we can advance to the Criminal Cases Review Commission.
As part of our review we will look at any relevant changes in the law, fresh evidence that you might already have obtained – or that we think might help your case. We will evaluate whether or not your trial could be considered to have been unfair.
We will also help you to understand your conviction and the complexities of the appeals process.
If you have already submitted an application to the CCRC, we can still support you or help with a new application.
Applications to the CCRC
Our team can draft your application to the Criminal Cases Review Commission and liaise with the case manager who is handling your application.
Pro Bono
In certain cases we are able to work pro bono, so we provide legal advice and support free or charge. This depends on the resources that we have available within our team.
Free counselling
As part of our commitment to mental health, we provide all of our clients with access to free counselling to support you through the criminal appeals process.
