Khaled was instructed to represent J, a paramedic already subject to an interim conditions of practice order. Although the previous panel had assessed the risk in the case based on the evidence, Khaled successfully argued that there was in fact no proven risk to the public and that the circumstances of the case were such that the public interest ground was not engaged. The panel decided to revoke the order on the basis that it was not necessary.
