Rebecca represented a nurse, R, at a review of her substantive suspension order. R had produced a number of detailed reflections demonstrating her insight into her previous dishonest conduct, and went on to give live evidence at the hearing. The NMC invited the panel to consider imposing a conditions of practice order, which Rebecca contested in the strongest terms, submitting that no order was necessary as R had demonstrated deep and genuine insight and had fully remediated her dishonest conduct.
The panel agreed, and allowed the suspension order to lapse, so that R could return to nursing practice without any further restriction.
